EMILY BROWN Owner & Co-Founder Hi, I’m Emily! Owner and co-founder of Above Social! My marketing journey started at Canisius College in Buffalo, NY, where I earned my degree in Management with a concentration in Marketing. In 2015, I made the move to the Adirondacks, and I’ve been lucky enough to call this beautiful place home ever since! Over the years, I’ve worn a lot of different marketing hats, from working in an office setting to spending several years as the Marketing Manager for the Simply Gourmet restaurant group. Each experience taught me something new and helped shape my passion for creative marketing and supporting local businesses. In 2018, Lindsay Labarge Fernandez and I took a leap and started Above Social! What began as an idea has grown into something I’m incredibly proud of. Along the way, I’ve learned that no two businesses are alike, and that's what makes this job so much fun. I love getting to know the people behind the businesses, understanding their goals, and finding creative ways to tell their stories through content that connects. Another side of marketing I've really grown to love is event planning! Whether it's a large community event like the Wilmington Mountain Music Fest, a campaign meet & greet, or a corporate gathering, there's something so exciting about bringing an idea to life and watching all the moving pieces come together. I love the creativity, the planning, the people, and yes, even a little bit of the chaos that comes with pulling off a great event! These days, one of my favorite parts of owning Above Social is getting to mentor and lead our talented team of content creators while still maintaining my own portfolio of clients. I love being hands-on with the creative side of things, but it's equally rewarding to help others grow their skills and confidence in this ever-changing industry. In 2026, I was also honored to be elected to the ROOST Board of Advisors, an opportunity I'm really excited about! I'm looking forward to expanding my knowledge, building new relationships, and finding even more ways to support and advocate for the small businesses that make our Adirondack communities so special. At the end of the day, that's what Above Social has always been about for me: supporting local businesses, building genuine relationships, and helping the people who make our communities unique succeed. Whether it's through social media, creative content, event planning, or simply connecting the right people, I love being a small part of helping great things happen right here in our community!
LINDSAY LABARGE FERNANDEZ Co-Founder Born and raised in New York, Lindsay attended SUNY Plattsburgh, where she studied marketing. Growing up watching her parents run their own business and being surrounded by a community of small businesses sparked her passion for supporting local entrepreneurs and helping them succeed. As a founding member of Above Social in 2018, Lindsay helped build the company with a shared vision of bringing creative, personalized marketing solutions to small businesses. After years of helping Above Social grow, Lindsay stepped away in 2025 to explore new opportunities and avenues within the marketing and business world. Her entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to small businesses will always be part of Above Social’s foundation.
GABRIELLE CARLSON

Hi, I’m Gabrielle! Originally from Saranac, New York, I now live in Ausable on our little farm with my husband and three boys. When I’m not working or singing, you’ll find us traveling, camping, hunting, fishing, and enjoying all things outdoors. I’ve been with Above Social for three years as the Senior Marketing Agent, handling content creation, social media management, and web design. As a singer-songwriter and performer in my father-daughter duo, GABnDAD, I’ve learned how to connect with an audience, tell a story, and keep people engaged. I bring those same skills to marketing, helping businesses showcase their personalities and build meaningful connections with their customers. I love being part of Above Social because I get to be creative while supporting the small businesses that make our community so special. Working alongside a team that cares about each other and our clients makes this work even more meaningful to me.

Hi, my name is Ashlyn Rabideau! I’m from the Morrisonville, NY area and enjoy being creative and connecting with people! Outside of work, I love spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, or enjoying a cozy night at home. I love photography, music, and fashion! I’m so excited to be apart of the Above Social team and to have the opportunity to learn, grow, and to be creative!

I was born and raised in the Adirondacks and am currently studying business in college while gaining experience in marketing. I enjoy the creative side of marketing and finding new ways to help businesses stand out and show their personality. Outside of work you can usually find me exploring new places with my dog, painting, working on creative projects or cozied up with my cat and a good book.
